The primary focus of the course revolved around fostering leadership qualities, cultivating empathy, nurturing motivation, and promoting self-awareness and self-management skills.

Through engaging sessions, we explored mindfulness techniques, emotional intelligence, and the significance of understanding different religions and cultures, both on a surface and deeper level.

The RULER Approach:

Recognizing, Understanding, Labelling, Expressing, and Regulating emotions formed the cornerstone of our discussions, providing a framework for helping children express their feelings in a safe and supportive environment.

We delved into the concept of meta-moments, empowering educators to guide students in reflecting on their actions and emotions, fostering greater self-awareness and emotional regulation.

We explored the flipped classroom model, utilizing diverse online applications to create and present our own interactive lessons. This hands-on experience highlighted the transformative potential of technology in fostering student engagement and active learning.

Cultural Immersion:

Our time in Barcelona was enriched by visits to cultural landmarks such as the National Art Gallery of Catalonia and La Pedrera by Antonio Gaudi’, where we experienced firsthand the intersection of art, history, and education. These outings not only deepened our cultural understanding but also inspired creative teaching approaches.
