WORKING THROUGH EXAMPLES

• On the following slides, there are examples of a source text and an AI-generated draft, for instance:

• Each team will be given a handout with examples.

WORKING THROUGH EXAMPLES

• Each team will work on their examples.

- Each team will do 5 verses.

- Every verse has at least one error that the AI draft

has created.

• Then in the larger group, we will discuss each team’s passage, with teams taking turns to share their findings.

HOW TO WORK

• On the handout, first read the source text for your first verse.
• Next, read that one verse out loud in 3 other versions in Paratext (NNRV, ONCV, SNHB).
• Only then read that verse in the AI draft.

HOW TO WORK

• For that verse, discuss and note down on your handout any place where the text is not accurate.

- Use reference materials as needed, like TN.

• Write down how you would edit the verse to make it accurate if you were translating it into your language.
