Phonological and Phonemic Awareness
Phonological awareness – the ability to recognize and manipulate the sound units in spoken language, including syllables; onsets and rimes; and phonemes.
Phonemic Awareness-- Ability to recognize and manipulate the sounds (phonemes) in words
