Moving Toward the New (Transitioning)

Easy or Difficult?

Some may find it hard accept the change. Once we do accept the change, we can learn to appreciate from the change. Accepting and adjusting can be done in baby steps.

Think:

What is one thing I like and appreciate about learning from home?

Do:

Think about a baby step you can take today toward embracing this change.

8 of 20

Activity-Take

a baby step:

A baby step can even be just asking questions that may be leaving you feeling confused at the moment.

It can also be to write about one thing you’ve lost or miss about how things were, then write down one thing you’ve gained from this change.

Live in the Now

Day 3 Wed.

Apr. 22, 2020

Shaking up our Routine…

Live in the Now

So we are all creatures of habit, but sometimes it is easy to get stuck in that routine and not grow away from it. Yoda says, “You must unlearn what you have learned”. Now that doesn’t mean you forget all the knowledge you’ve gained, it simply means that it’s ok to be unsure of what’s next.

Feed your brain in a different way, and figure out what you need to start feeling a little bit more secure with this change.

Think: For me, what can be baby step 2? Maybe….

Do: Start thinking of a new plan at home.

11 of 20

Activity: Choice 1: What do you value? When we reflect on what we value most, our plan seems to come into focus. List your values.

Value ideas: truth, loyalty, joy, faith, family, Patience, Freedom, Respect, Safety, Collaboration, community, Love, Gratitude

Choice 2: Make a kaleidoscope to help you remember things can look different if we try different points of view.

Click below to know how to make a kaleidoscope.

“Many of the Truths we cling to depend on our point of View”.

A Fresh Start

Choose a Fresh Start-Be Proactive

Being proactive means you operate life knowing that HOW you respond to life experiences is a powerful choice that only you can make.

  1. Think about things that have happened that are within your control and NOT within your control.
  2. Connect with people that will influence you in a positive way.

Think:

Am I surrounding myself with people who are proactive and positive?

Do:

Reflect: How do I usually respond when I am confronted with a problem?

14 of 20

Activity Choice 1: Make your own circle of control so you can begin your fresh start.

post-it notes inside the hula hoop and things you cannot

control outside the

hula hoop.
