Arrival/Dismissal

  • Arrive at 7:45 at Primary Playground
  • Students will line up on their classroom number on blacktop.
  • Dismissal at 1:21 (Minimum Day 12:00)
    • Students will be walked out by teacher
    • Each class will line up in front of gate (next to the school office)
    • Students to be released to adult one by one

  • A regular/standard sized backpack (no backpacks on wheels)
  • A filled water bottle

Field Trips

  • Parents need to be vaccinated, have a negative TB test, fingerprinted through our H.R. department and filled out form in office.
  • It takes time! At least a month.

Other Things

  • Star of the Week posters- One student per week will get a poster to complete at home and bring back to share with the class.
  • Sharing Can- each child will get a turn to bring something in and share, help your child write three clues to read to the class.

Other things (cont.)

  • Birthdays- no food or cupcakes
    • Your child will receive a birthday book from me
    • You may send in your child’s favorite book and we will read it to the class (and it will then be returned)
    • You can donate a book to the class
    • You can have your child bring in goody bags, pencils, etc to share (no food items please)
    • We will sing Happy Birthday to your child
    • Birthday Compliments- we will go around the circle and each child will give a compliment to the birthday child

What you can do:

  1. Read everyday with your child
  2. Ask him/her about the characters, setting, what happened, his/her favorite part
  3. Sit with your child while he/she is doing his/her homework
  4. Ask your child to talk about his/her day at school.

Please note

  • Your child needs to come in school appropriate attire including sneakers or tennis shoes
  • Please label your child’s clothes with his/her name
  • Please have a change of clothes in your child’s backpack or you may leave in your child’s cubby at school
  • Please have your child come to school on time
