Summer Math
Entering Grades 1-3 Directions: Over the summer, do as many of these activities as you’d like to do. Initial and add the date on the line of the activities as you complete them.
Go on a shape hunt. Record how many triangles, rectangles, squares and circles you find. | Use dry cereal to model one addition and one subtraction equation. (*make it multiple equations) | Take a walk on the beach and collect seashells. Organize them and create a bar graph. | Learn how to count to 20 in two languages you don’t already know.

Find out the birth years of the people who live with you. Put them in order from least to greatest. What is the greatest difference? | Make a poster of your favorite number and include at least 3 facts about it.
| Bedtime Math Read the story of the day or choose one that interests you. Answer as many questions as you can about the story. Write your own question about the story. | Make your own math game and play it with a family member.
