Room 1 is growing beans from bean seeds. On Monday when they left school to go home, six beans had sprouted. When they came
back to school on Tuesday, they saw that 8 beans had sprouted altogether.
How many beans had sprouted overnight?
What if there were eighteen beans on Monday and then 26 on Tuesday?
Empty the bowl.
First, the simple way. Simply fill a bowl with DUPLO bricks.
Each player rolls the dice and takes that many bricks out of the bowl. The game ends when the bowl is empty!
Make the game even more fun by graphing how many rolls it takes to empty the bowl!
The more times your repeat this activity, the more accurate your graph will be.

Make your own Play Clay
Modeling Clay Recipe
Method
Cook over medium-high heat, stirring almost constantly. The mixture will begin to bubble. Then it will start to clump together. Keep stirring until it has the consistency of mashed potatoes.
Transfer the clay into a bowl and cover with a damp tea towel.
Once cool, knead the clay until is is smooth. It shouldn’t be damp, but if it is, add a little more cornflour.
After a bit of kneading, you will end up with the perfect clay to create with.
You can colour your clay with food colouring or keep it white and once your creation sets, you can paint it.

Place newspaper onto a chopping board.
Arrange your flowers on top.
Place your fabric on top of the flowers.
Check that your hammer or mallet is clean then lightly tap on top of the fabric until you start to see the colour appearing.
Take care not to move the flowers so don’t lift the fabric until you are happy with the amount of colour that shows through.
Finish by folding the top of the fabric over a stick and either stitching it or just taping it on the back. Tie a string on each end so you can hang it up.
