• Are you aiming for a one-year certificate, the Uniform Certificate of General Studies (UCGS), or a full Associate Degree?
• How will your credits transfer to a four-year college or university?

💡 Pro Tip: Meet with BOTH your Dual Enrollment Specialist or Coach and your high school counselor. They’ll help you create a plan that works for both your high school diploma and your college goals.

Fill out and return your registration form by your school’s deadline.�⏳ Deadlines matter — we can’t enroll you after the deadline passes.

• Ask for help early — your instructor, advisor, counselor, career coach, or the Dean of Early College are here for you.

Academic Honesty

At Laurel Ridge, honesty matters. You are expected to uphold integrity in your work—doing your own research, citing all sources, and respecting the trust placed in you as a college student.

Academic Dishonesty—including plagiarism, cheating, and unauthorized collaboration—undermines learning and may result in disciplinary consequences, including failing grades or expulsion.

​

Be sure to ask for help when unsure. You are responsible for your actions and for maintaining Laurel Ridge’s high academic standards.

Know your Syllabus

Your syllabus is your roadmap. It includes:

• Course expectations
• Attendance policy
• Assignment deadlines
• Drop/withdraw dates

Keep it handy — it’s one of your most important tools for success.

Dual Enrollment = Dual Credit

Important Considerations:

• You should always see your instructor/syllabus for grading scales and information

​

Your grades become part of your official college transcript

​

• A “D” or “F” will appear on your record and may affect future college admission. Additionally, you will need to speak with the Dean of Early College before enrollment.
• You can view your transcript anytime through MyLaurelRidge.

​
