Engraving and Cutting Using Google Drawing
Go To Google Drawing to Create a New File
Create Your Work Page to Match Your Material
Insert a Shape That Will Be Vector Cut Out of Material
Left Click on the Work Plane to Drop Your Shape
Right Click On The Shape and Select Format Options
Select Size & Rotation and Change the Shape Size
Shape With Correct Size
Close the Format Options and Click the Shape to Select
Select Fill Color and Change to Transparent
Click on the Shape and Change Border Weight to 1 pt
Click on the Shape and Change the Border Color to a Unique Color
Use Google Image Search to Locate Clip Art
Select Tools Under Search Bar, Select Color > Transparent, Select Type > Clip Art
Find Your Image, Copy, Paste, and Resize into Your Google Drawing
Click on the Image to Select it
Select Format Options
In Format Options Select “Recolor” and Click on the Drop Down Arrow
Select the “Grayscale” Option - Note the Location of the Button
If There is Not Enough Contrast, Click “Adjustments” in Format Options
Adjust the Brightness and Contrast Until the Image is Easy to Read
Add Text if Desired by Clicking Text Box and Clicking on Your Design
Add a Hole to the Top to Make a Keychain
Change the Dimensions of the Circle to .25 x .25
Change the Circle to Transparent Fill, The Line Weight to 1 pt, and the Color to the Same Unique Color as the Outline of the Shape
Center the Circle Horizontally on Your Design (Notice the Red Vertical Line)
Ensure Your Art and Words Are Contained in the Outline Shape
