Gifted Service Attendance/Expectations

  • Gifted students make a commitment to Gifted Service. It is expected that students attend their gifted class if they are at school on the day they receive gifted service.

  • Students are expected to make up work from their regular classes if there is a gap in their learning, new concepts are introduced, or if a test needs to be made up. Long term projects or week long classroom assignments must still be completed and turned in on time.

  • Gifted Intervention Specialists work closely with classroom teachers to minimize special event/scheduling conflicts.

  • Should students (and families) choose to opt out of the program, an OFFICIAL Withdrawal Form must be completed and submitted to school. The following academic year students would once again become eligible for service.
