Tears over Jerusalem
فقال لو واحد : يا سيد، أقليل هم الذين يخلصون؟، فقال لهم: اجتهدوا أن تدخلوا من الباب الضيق، فإنى أقول لكم إن كثيرين سيطلبون أن يدخلوا ولا يقدرون (لو ١٣ : ٢٣ – ٢٤)
Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?” And He said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.(Luke 13 : 23 – 24)
وفيما هو يقترب نظر إلى المدينة وبكى عليها. قائلا : إنك لو علمت أنت أيضاً ، حتى في يومك هذا ، ما هو لسلامك! ولكن الآن قد أخفى عن عينيك.
Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying “if you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
فإنه ستأتى أيام ويحيط بك أعداؤك بمترسة ، ويحدقون بك ويحاصرونك من كل جهة . ويهدمونك وبنيك فيك ، ولا يتركون فيك حجرا على حجر لأنك لم تعرفى زمان افتقادك (لو ١٩ : ٤١ – ٤٤)
For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation .(Luke 13 : 41 – 44)
طوبى للحزانى لانهم يتعزون (مت ٥ : ٤)

فمريم لما أتت إلى حيث كان يسوع ورأته خرت عند رجليه قائلة له: يا سيد لو كنت ههنا لم يمت أخى. فلما رآها يسوع تبكى واليهود الذين جاءوا معها يبكون انزعج بالروح واضطرب
Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died,” . Therefore, when Jesus saw here weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping , He groaned in the spirit and was troubles.

Is this not the fast that I have chosen; To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? . Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? How to Acquire this Kind of Tears
اذكروا المقيدين كأنكم مقيدون معهم ، والمذلين كأنكم أنت أيضاً في الجسد (عب ١٣ : ٣)
Remember the prisoners as if chained with them-those who are mistreated- since you yourselves are in the body also (Heb 13 : 3)

ثم اخذ معه بطرس و يعقوب و يوحنا و ابتدا يدهش و يكتئب. فقال لهم نفسي حزينة جدا حتى الموت امكثوا هنا و اسهروا.
And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed.Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, [even] to death. Stay here and watch".

ثم تقدم قليلا و خر على الارض و كان يصلي لكي تعبر عنه الساعة ان امكن. و قال يا ابا الاب كل شيء مستطاع لك فاجز عني هذه الكاس و لكن ليكن لا ما اريد انا بل ما تريد انت. (مر 14 : 33 – 36)
He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. And He said, "Abba, Father, all things [are] possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You [will"]. (Mar 14 : 33 – 36)

ثم اخذ معه بطرس و ابني زبدي و ابتدا يحزن و يكتئب. فقال لهم نفسي حزينة جدا حتى الموت امكثوا ههنا و اسهروا معي. ثم تقدم قليلا و خر على وجهه و كان يصلي قائلا يا ابتاه ان امكن فلتعبر عني هذه الكاس و لكن ليس كما اريد انا بل كما تريد انت. (متى 26 : 37 – 39)
And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me". He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You [will"]. (Mat 26 : 37 – 39)

و اذ كان في جهاد كان يصلي باشد لجاجة و صار عرقه كقطرات دم نازلة على الارض. ثم قام من الصلاة و جاء الى تلاميذه فوجدهم نياما من الحزن. (لو 22 : 44 – 45)
And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. (Lu 22 : 44 – 45)

كما يقول ايضا في موضع اخر انت كاهن الى الابد على رتبة ملكي صادق. الذي في ايام جسده اذ قدم بصراخ شديد و دموع طلبات و تضرعات للقادر ان يخلصه من الموت و سمع له من اجل تقواه. (عب 5 : 6 – 7)
As [He] also [says] in another [place:] "You [are] a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek";. who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,. (Heb 5 : 6 – 7)

القلب يعرف مرارة نفسه و بفرحه لا يشاركه غريب (ام 14 : 10)
The heart knows its own bitterness, And a stranger does not share its joy (Pro 14 : 10)
حين يأتيك .. قدسه بالصلاة
When it comes, sanctify it by prayers
تقبل الكأس ... ولا تمنع الدموع
Take the cup and do not stop you tears
تقدم إلى .. لتكن مشيئتك
Proceed to it … Thy Will be Done

How to Acquire this Kind of Tears
