What is counseling?

Counselling is assisting someone to explore

and resolve difficulties they are experiencing,

clarify conflicting issues and helping that

person discover alternative ways of managing

themselves and situations, so that they can

decide what course of action or behavior is

helpful to them. Essentially it is helping people

Roles and responsibilities of SGC

  • Work collaboratively with the principal, teacher, supporting staff, parents and community to create an environment to carried out Guidance and counseling program effectively.
  • Counselling session-( voluntary and referred clients)
  • Maintain confidentiality and confidential case record.( electronic copy & hard copy)
  • keep records of all the activities carried out and send a complied report to CECD and DYS.( bi-annually )
  • Create awareness based on need based.
  • Conduct Guidance program classes ( 10-15 maximum career education, psycho education, ect)
  • Maintain daily log of activities and session note of every session for each client.
  • Conduct Exit Transition for class XII and X
  • Institute peer helper club/ program
