What are the available assistance for students?

  • Student Learning Assistance System (SLAS)

A University Student Support Program that

provides tuition subsidy, a stipend per month

every semester, and/or gadget and internet

connection subsidies for one academic

year  following a set of guidelines and procedures

The UP School of Economics Alumni Association or UPSEAA offers Student Assistance Programs to support UPSE in providing the best economics education and training for the best economists of the country:

    • Computer Banking
    • Data Allowance
    • Scholarship

These programs are administered by the UPSE Public Affairs Office.

  • UPSE Computer Banking Program?

The Program offers, on loan, computer laptops to

undergraduate students who may need assistance.

​

  • UPSE Data Allowance Program?

The Program provides data allowance for research,

computing and online classes.

​

  • UPSE Scholarship Program?

UPSEAA awards scholarships to undergraduate

students of the UP School of Economics (UPSE).  The

ultimate objective is to assist the UPSE

produce a growing number of world-class professional

economists or economics-savvy leaders – all of whom

could play key roles in the country’s development.

​

What is in it for me?

  • Successful applicants can bring home computer laptops and can use these until they graduate from the program of study.
  • Successful applicants will be provided with data allowance every month of every semester of assistance.
  • UPSEAA scholars are granted a monthly allowance of P5,000 every month of every semester of assistance.

Am I qualified?

  • Yes, if you are an undergraduate student of the UP School of Economics.

  • Yes, if you are in need of assistance.

​

  • Yes, if you are willing to remain in good standing in any of the academic programs of UPSE.

​

A call for application will be released every semester for computer banking and data allowance; and every first semester of schoolyear for scholarship program. You can visit www.econ.upd.edu.ph to view the announcements.
