Optical Art
Op art, short for optical art, is a style of visual art that uses optical illusions.
Op Artists use shapes, colours and patterns in special ways to create images that look as if they are moving or blurring.Typically, Op Art give the viewer the impression of movement, hidden images and vibrating patterns.
According to health experts, optical illusions help you to make your brain sharper. It helps understanding the difference between ‘looking’ and ‘seeing and stimulates the right side of the brain. The right side of your brain is the part that is used for visual recall, spatial awareness and problem solving.
When color is added to Optical Art the it can create a shimmering effect or be used to bend space. Certain colors seem to be closer to the viewer’s eye while others seem further away.
