Internship Fast Facts 2019-20

  • Start Date: October 9
  • End Date: January 17
  • Work days: varies by intern: M, Wed, Th, F

-Student schedules depend on transportation & extra curricular

  • 7.5 hrs/week minimum
  • Class time 10:30 - 12pm; home period
  • Start Time: 11:00 am (depends on transportation)
  • End Time: varies by student

Student Responsibilities

  • Report to site on all indicated days, on time
  • Notify supervisor and instructor if going to be absent or late
  • Dress appropriately for worksite
  • Maintain respectful, professional behavior at all times
  • Meet regularly with supervisor to receive feedback
  • Get weekly timecards signed by supervisor, submit in class

  • Contact instructor immediately if student is absent or late
  • Contact instructor regarding any behavior issues
  • Train interns for site duties
  • Schedule times to give feedback
  • Sign weekly timecards
  • Complete official evaluations

*Consider: Providing student with reference letter at end of internship (if earned)
