PM SHRI School (PM ScHools for Rising India) is a centrally sponsored scheme by Government of India.

Under the scheme,

    • Select schools will be qualitatively strengthened to include all the components of the National Education Policy 2020.

​

    • Schools managed by State Government having UDISE+ code would be considered for selection

​

    • In Karnataka, 12494 schools have been shortlisted by MOE

​

    • Schools would be required to self-apply on the Online Challenge portal

  • DyPCs of 30 revenue districts are registered as the District Nodal Officer for the PM Shri Schools.

​

  • Vijayanagar,Chikkodi,Madhugiri,Sirsi and Banglore North district DyPCs should coordinate with respective DyPCs of counterpart revenue districts.

​

  • DyPCs (SSA & RMSA) should both coordinate with each other for implementing this scheme.

​

  • Issue instructions to all the select schools shared to log in the PM Shri Portal and fill the required information for approval.

​

  • DNOs shall login in the PM Shri portal through mobile

​

  • DNOs shall verfiy, approve/reject the school and provide proper justification. District will send Taluka wise short listed schools to State along with justification of 100-200 words for each school.

​

  • DDPIs to monitor and ensure all the schools have applied for PM Shri Schools

  • Schools Need to Upload the School Front and Back Image(png, jpg and jpeg format is allowed). The permissible Size is 200Kb.

​

• In addition, The School has to upload the Panchayat/Local Body Letter

and HM Commitment Letter ( in PDF Format ) to be declared as

PM SHRI School.

​

  • Schools compulsorily have to answer all the questions.

​

• School of Urban areas need to score minimum 70%,

whereas Schools of Rural areas need to score minimum 60% to be

selected as PM SHRI Schools.

Letter to Commissioner, Panchayatraj and Director, Muncipal Adminstration will be sent to direct the respective institutes to cooperate in issuing willingness letter to support PM Shri Schools
