AURORA is a consortium of research-intensive universities deeply committed to the social impact of their activities.

The AURORA 2030 project includes 10 work packages and works towards four objectives:

    • Teaching and Learning for Societal Impact
    • Excellent Challenge-based Research and Innovation
    • Collaboration and Engagement through Inclusive Communities
    • Sustainability Pioneers

Among the planned activities, Work Package 5 aims to foster a solid environment for Research and Innovation within the Aurora community

In this framework, a call was launched in 2024 to promote collaboration among AURORA institution.

We participated to the Call by proposing the organization of a “Thematic summer school” on “Circular Economy in the Agroindustrial Sector” (CIRAGRO)

Our project received funding and it is our pleasure to host you all in Portici!

DAiry Waste and REsidues upCYcling into Microbial ProtEin

The CIRAGRO summer school is further supported by the EU project DARE2CYCLE, aiming at valorizing excess dairy waste and residues into high-quality bioproducts.

This project started in April 2024 and received funding through the Green ERA-Hub, a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) funded through the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation (R&I) programme.
