Student Arrival and Dismissal

  • School begins promptly at 7:40 AM.
  • Gates open at 7:15 AM.
  • Lunch & breakfast are available to all students free of charge.
  • Dismissal is at 2:05 PM.
  • Wednesday dismissal is at 12:35 beginning on August 20th.

-If someone other than yourself will be picking up your child, please be sure that they are on your child’s emergency card.

-If your child normally rides the bus, and you need to pick them up instead, please CALL the office.

Bus Riders

  • Please make sure your child has his/her bus pass EVERY DAY.

  • Attendance is crucial.
  • Students with good attendance are more likely to succeed in academics.
  • If your child is absent, please send in a note or notify the office.

Homework Folders���

  • Students will be provided with a homework folder.
  • Folders need to be brought to school everyday.
  • Please check your child’s folder daily.

Homework

  • Homework is essential because it helps your child develop responsible habits and provides him/her with the opportunity to reinforce or extend skills learned in school.
  • Students will be assigned weekly and monthly homework.
          • Weekly homework will consist of poem memorization.
          • Monthly homework calendar will consist of one daily activity.
  • Weekly homework is due on Friday. The monthly homework calendar is due at the end of the month.
  • Homework should be interactive between the student and parent.
  • Homework will be sent home beginning on Monday, August 18th.

Classroom Supplies

  • Teachers will supply all the needed materials for the classroom.
  • Students will only need a standard size backpack.
  • Recommended supplies for home
      • Pencils and erasers

Report Cards

  • Each student will receive 3 report cards this year.

  • Parent/Teacher conferences will be held in October.

  • Please sign up for a conference time before you leave.

Reminder…

  • Please make sure your child is able to unzip, unbutton, and undo their belts in order to use the restroom.
  • Please place your child’s name on ALL of their personal belongings (sweaters, jackets, backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc.)
  • We recommend that you send a small, healthy snack everyday with your child to eat during recess.
  • Don’t forget to include a spoon or fork if needed.
  • Please make sure to pack an extra pair of clothing in a plastic storage bag with your child's name on it in case of an accident.
