Creating an opportunity to help SMU students, faculty and staff further enhance their knowledge, attitudes and abilities around concepts relevant to working with vulnerable populations
AIM
To develop a short orientation/training program and assessment which enhances the abilities of SMU students, faculty and staff to address the biopsychosocial needs of vulnerable populations
Project Phases
Phase 1
Phase 1
Work with Samuel Merritt faculty, staff, and students to compile previously produced curriculum, tools and evaluations.
Phase 2
Phase 2
Develop evaluation measures to assess the current community-based programs being offered throughout SMU.

Develop a community engagement program utilizing the curriculum and resources compiled from faculty, students and staff.

Train essential faculty, staff and students on the newly developed program
Brittney Doyle, MPH
Office of People & Culture (OPC) has contracted with Brittney Doyle, Founder of WISE Health, who will interview relevant stakeholders across SMU, and collect, compile and organize existing resources.
