Top 10 Data Insights

  1. High longevity is common. Many sellers report 9+ years experience.
  2. Elementary grades are the dominant niche. PreK-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grade are the most common niches reported.
  3. High earners are usually full-time TPT sellers. Sellers earning >$10k monthly are often "no longer in the classroom".
  4. Large catalogs equal high income. Top earners (>$10k) usually have 600+ products.
  5. New product consistency drives growth. "Consistent release of new products" is the most cited growth factor.

  • SEO is critical for success. Most sellers rate SEO as "Very Important" or "Extremely Important".
  • "Consistent release" is key for sales lift. Sellers reporting significantly higher sales often cite "Consistent release of new products" as a top factor.
  • Market challenges cause sales decline. Sellers reporting lower sales consistently cite three main factors: Increased competition, Changes in buyer demand/spending habits, and Economic conditions affecting budgets.
  • Marketing favors social and email. The most popular platforms are email lists, Pinterest, and Instagram.
  • Paid data services are strategic tools. Sellers currently using a paid data analysis service (like Your Data Playbook) often report stable or increased sales.

September 2025 Earnings vs store ranking

The total here is only 895 because there were some obvious incongruencies with the responses to these questions. This was likely due to misunderstanding the question or not knowing how to find their September ranking.

For example, 6 respondents answered that they earned less than $1000 in September and that they were ranked in the top 1-100 sellers.
