The Menu Bar

  • Highlight- This tool allows you to highlight text throughout a PDF. You can also attach comments to each highlighted, strikethrough or underlined area.
  • Strikethrough- most useful for those editing or proofreading a document, as you can clearly show which sections need to be gotten rid of and could even use a text box tool to show what words should replace it.
    • An important note regarding the Strikethrough and Underline tool is that you need to hover the mouse over the line itself to bring up the tool bar, rather than hovering over the text that is underlined. This is done so that a document can have both underlines, strikethroughs and highlights all on the same text and still edit and remove each individually.
  • Text- This tool allows you to place text boxes anywhere in their document, perfect for filling in forms. Both the color and size of the text can be adjusted as needed to fit even the most finicky of PDF forms.
  • Comment- Similar to the highlight mode it can be used to highlight a section of text, automatically bringing up an annotation box for you to input your comments.
