How We Support Students
How We Support Students: Schoolwide Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

How We Support Students
17
Are students in trouble if they are sent to see the counselor?
School counselors do NOT provide discipline. School counselors are advocates, meaning we want to listen to students and help come up with solutions. While we cannot solve problems for students or families, we provide a safe place to be a safe person to talk to during difficult situations.

When can or should I contact the school counselor?
