Story

The King has been put into sleep by evil

You, the most glorious Paladin, are chosen to go to the Future, to find the ruin of the King’s Temple

The only help you have, is your own memory of the Past

Gameplay (FEs)

  • Players:
    • two players vs game, cooperative play
  • Objectives:
    • explore at the same time the Past and the Future of the world
    • find hidden clues
    • solve puzzles
    • locate the King’s Temple
    • find a way to get there
  • Procedures:
    • two players sit back to back in CAVE2
    • P1 sees the Future, P2 sees in the Past
    • either P1 or P2 can control the character in both worlds simultaneously
    • P1 and P2 talk to each other to cooperate
  • Rules:
    • P1 can’t see the Past, P2 can’t see the Future
    • P1 and P2 each have a controller that takes the exactly same actions in both worlds
    • The game is time-limited. Character needs to reach Holy fountain before Holy light runs out in order to not be stuck in the Future
    • Puzzles and clues are spreaded in the world. By collecting them, players will be able to locate and reach the King’s Temple
    • P1 and P2 are allowed and encouraged to talk to each other to cooperate

Gameplay (FEs)

  • Resources:
    • Holy light (HP): reach reach holy fountain in the Past to collect; drains as time passes; character dies when Holy light runs out
    • Purified Faith (MP): solve puzzles to collect; used to active Immune Shield
    • Immune Shield: spending Purified Faith to use; cools down as time passes; makes character invisible for a short period of time
  • Conflict:
    • The character moves uniformly in both worlds but physical impediments are different in the past and in the future
    • Prohibitions prevents character going to some places
  • Boundaries:
    • The boundaries are set using physical impediments, such as trees, walls, etc.
  • Outcome:
    • Winning: the Temple is found, the Paladin is sacrificed, and the King is returned
    • Losing: the Paladin is dead, and the King will be sleeping forever
