This is Jim Dine, an American painter and printmaker from the mid Twentieth Century
Jim Dine
Jim Dine sees his artworks as his own personal vocabulary of feelings. He is often linked to the “Pop Art” movement
He loves to paint and draw tools, hearts and bathrobes. These objects are autobiographical for him, meaning he relates them to his own life experiences.
The way he depicts and paints his subjects is often with bright colors and strong textures. There is a lot of movement in his work, even if the objects are just sitting there.
Dine infused his artwork with his own feelings and he loved to paint hearts!
Today we will be creating our own vibrant heart artworks.
