Join Drum Corps!

At parades, there is a team that drums the cadence of the pace we are meant to be marching. Drum corps allows you to get closer with cadets, get sharper with your movements, and helps people break out of their shell and perform the best they can. If you find even little interest in drum corps come and try it out on Tuesday September 8th-September 10th. Meet outside room 105 at 1430!

Unit Goals (School Impact Goals)

  1. Retention Goal:

MA-011 aims to achieve a retention rate of 50 percent of its 156 cadets, building upon the 45 percent retention rate achieved last year. We see two ways to accomplish this goal: 1) Set our standard uniform wear to OCPs; 2) Conduct more fundraisers and events to get more cadets involved.

  • Recruiting Goal:

The program aims to have successfully recruited a minimum of 35 middle school students this year and conducted at least 7 successful recruiting visits. We want to ensure all recruiting teams are prepared with plans and demonstrations for the middle schoolers to observe, which will ultimately promote our program¿s growth and success.

Unit Goals (Cadet Impact Goals)

  1. Physical Fitness Goal:

MA-011 will aim for a 25 percent increase in PFT devices awarded to cadets during FY 2024-25, increasing from 27 cadets last year to 34 cadets. With this goal, we intend to promote, recognize, and improve physical fitness within our program.

  • Academic Goal:

Our goal is to ensure 70 percent of our academically vulnerable members are attending ROTC-managed tutoring resources. Cadet grades will be monitored to ensure they are making progress. Vulnerable cadets will be tutored by cadets who excel in relevant subjects.

92 of 101

Unit Goals (Community Impact Goals)

  1. Community Service Goal:

MA-011 aims to ensure each cadet completes an average of 16 community service hours for the year, facilitated by 3 planned mandatory events. Participation in more community service events promotes community involvement and responsibility among the cadets.

  • Extracurricular Goal:

The program's objective is to achieve a participation rate of 75 percent of JROTC cadets in extracurricular activities. Events that will help to increase participation include: 1) school canned food drive; 2) school tour guide program; 3) school representatives for open houses.
