The Department of English at Lunglei Government College, started in 1964, stands as one of the Institution's pioneering Departments, dedicated to academic excellence and fostering a love for literature and language, nurturing critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication among the students. With a committed faculty, it offers a prescribed diverse curriculum that spans classic to contemporary literature,linguistics, and writing skills, preparing students for a wide range of career opportunities. The Department also occasionally organizes extracurricular activities, such as Literary events and Seminars, to enrich the learning experience and promote cultural engagement within the college community.
