Mathematics is a compulsory subject in Year 11.

Students are required to pass the numeracy co-requisite in order to gain any NCEA qualification and to gain University Entrance.

This course leads on to Level 2 Mathematics (L2MAT) and Level 2 Mathematics with Statistics (L2MAS)

It is strongly recommended that students take this course if they are unsure of their future career pathways.

This course is designed for students who would like to proceed through to Level 3 Calculus and/or Level 3 Statistics.

There is a strong focus on Algebra in this course.

This course is designed for students who are likely to follow Statistics through to Level 3. and who generally find Algebra to be challenging.
