WCTCOG Regional Energy Management Assistance Project
What is the Regional Energy Management Assistance Project? | | |
In partnership with the State Energy Conservation Office, the West Central Texas Council of Governments is evaluating our region's energy conservation and resilience capabilities. The Regional Energy Management Assistance Project will provide the WCTCOG with the ability to identify energy conservation needs, develop recommendation plans, participate in working groups to share strategies to reduce energy consumption, and evaluate educational information for reduction strategies.

HAZARD MITIGATION
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Integrating energy resiliency and conservation into hazard mitigation plans by creating actions to minimize power loss to critical infrastructures during disasters. Actions can include generators, energy reduction, and implementation of warming stations.
Achieving energy efficiency helps the community save money. This project also connects the region with financial assistance opportunities for energy
upgrades and retrofits.
