First 3-Years Chemistry Honours batch was pass out in 2013 who had admitted in 2010

[no. of 1st class or equivalent SGPA achieving students were 9 among total 13 students in the first Honours batch (2013), followed by 7, 0, 1, 2, 0, 1 in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 respectively]

Since 2000 the Department was run by part time teachers. In 2005 the first vacancy against full time post was filled, when Dr. K. R. Bhattacharyya joined the institution (24.05.2005) & the second permanent post was filled much later (17.03.2010) by the appointment of Dr. Sujit Ghosh
