We have the Jesus’ story,

Unique in every way;

The Gospels tell the story;

It speaks to us today.

Beliefs of early Christians

Can guide beliefs for me;

They all remembered Jesus

The man from galilee.

Yes! Jesus was their master;

They claimed him as their Lord.

They saw in him God’s presence;

God’s love in him outpoured.

They taught he was Messiah;

The promised one of old;

The Gospels are their faith tales;

Faith stories that they told.

Yes! Jesus was their master;

Two thousand years still echo

With Jesus and his life;

He calls us now to follow,

To conquer in the strife.

Yes! We can call him Master,

A life to be adored;

We see in him God’s presence;

We see God’s love outpoured;

His grace is ever with us;

Our hope is not in vain;

His life points to the beauty

Of love that will sustain.
