How to get started

File -> Make a copy -> Entire presentation it with everybody on your team – make sure you invite them as “Editor”.

Set up a 60 minute video call with your teamGet everybody on the screen using Zoom, Google Hangouts or Skype. If you want to save time, ask them to watch the video and read the guide upfront.

Share your screen with a timerGo to bigtimer.net and use the timeboxes on the slide. (You can also use your phone if you prefer.)

How to use this template

ExercisesGo through the exercises as a team, one by one. Keep an eye on the timer, and follow the instructions on the slides. Most exercises require a silent step before sharing results.

Sticky NotesUse the sticky notes to write things down. They are small for a reason, so try to stay within the box and keep it short and sweet.

Workspaces

Every team member has it own workspaceThis gives you the opportunity to work in silence and do some deep-thinking before discussing ideas with the group.

* the idea of using workspaces comes from the Human Deluxe toolbox

Daily Standup Problems

⚡️by Workshop Wednesday

17 of 32

What problems are

you facing with your daily standups?

Standups take longer than 15 minutes

Choose a color and place your vote next to the stickies

We have no clear (overall) team goal

We’re solving problems in the standup instead of outside

We don’t start on time

Team members can't make it to the standup

We are speaking to one person, instead of to the whole team

We are using the standup as a status update meeting

We come in unprepared

Our standup gets disrupted by participants who are not part of the team

We repeat our impediments every day, but are not resolving them

1) What did you do yesterday?

2) What will you do today?

3) Are there any impediments in your way?

Plan an experiment

  1. Choose text, audio or video for your Dailies (from previous slides).
  2. When are we happy with the outcome?
  3. What is our time frame?
  4. What are our action steps?
    • Step 1
    • Step 2
    • Step 3
  5. How do we make sure we keep to the experiment?

To improve your dailies
