What is Generative AI?

Generative AI refers to a type of artificial intelligence that can generate new, original content or data, such as images, text, music, or even videos, based on patterns and examples it has been trained on.

ChatGPT, MagicSchool AI, and Diffit use a large language model that can process text from multiple types of data that could be public, licensed, or created by trainers. Then, they generate new content based on that text.

Everything you contribute becomes part of the public domain:

  • Never include identifying factors (i.e. name, age, gender, address, etc.)
  • Consider copyright and ownership before using
  • Consider student and family consent before uploading student work
