Parent Involvement at Hillview

Parents participate in our PTSA. We have parent members on our School Site Council. Annually in August we hold Back to School Night and in March we host Open House. We have an ELAC committee. Sporting events after school is another form of parent involvement. Parent/Teacher Conferences are held in annually two days in October. Hillview has increased the number of opportunities for parents to attend family events e.g., family STEAM night). Surveys have been sent out to parents via ParentSquare to for feedback to develop plans for for Hillview (e.g., Prop 28 plan, California Healthy Kids, etc). Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the classrooms by connecting with teachers and seeing if support is needed. Each semester award ceremonies are held in the evening with families to celebrate student achievement.
