PEN PLOTTER

Ryan Dimaculangan and Evan Rodriguez

ORIGINAL GOAL

Our original goal was to create a pen plotter machine that will draw an image.

• This was to be achieved using:
• Spare disc drives
• Servo motor
• Software

PROBLEMS

We encountered many different problems throughout the learning module:

• Code errors
• Trace bitmap in Inkscape
• Getting G-code
• Syncing up all of the motors

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Code error resolved
• Pairing the motors together
• Completing the entire structure
• It works ^maybe????

FOR THE FUTURE

Do we suggest this project for others?

• Absolutely!
• This learning module was a great experience and it was very fun to work on
• We learned how to use many different softwares and how to control multiple motors in sync
• It is definitely quite difficult, but it’s well worth it if you’re able to get it to work
