English Language Development
Integrated ELD- supports English learners by embedding language development within regular content-area lessons.
Designated ELD: Involves separating out your ELL students during a protected time during the school day to explicitly focus on English Language Skills.
Benefits English learners by allowing them to develop English skills in real, meaningful contexts while accessing grade-level content.
Helps build their English proficiency across the four language domains: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Importance of Routines
Sets Clear Expectations: Establishes how the classroom operates, so students know what to expect and what’s expected of them.
Builds a Positive Classroom Culture: Creates a safe, respectful environment where students feel comfortable and ready to learn.
Promotes Consistency: Helps students develop habits that support learning and behavior, reducing confusion and disruptions.
Saves Time: Minimizes the need for constant reminders or corrections later, making the school day run more smoothly.
Supports Student Independence: Encourages students to take responsibility and manage their own behavior and learning.
Enhances Learning: When routines are clear and smooth, more time and energy can be focused on instruction and meaningful learning.
Starting the year strong with Foundations and Routines helps create a productive, supportive, and efficient classroom environment throughout the year.
