    • 2 new cookers, warming cabinet, shelf unit and redecorated

    • Installed partition in old CR block to allow segregation of changing rooms
    • Plumbing upgrades to commence shortly
    • Energy efficiency review undertaken; report awaited
  • Grounds
    • 2022 remedial works to pitches; 2023 now started
    • P4 moved to accommodate new flood lit training area
    • Small extension to car park
    • Repair/Upgrade posts and floodlights on MMPF this summer

Rugby Report

  • Key Highlights 
  • Ladies 1XV promoted to Championship (probably North) again - fantastic achievement 
  • 2XV finished 2nd in the league behind Quinn’s
  • 17 2XV players and 4 academy players represented Mens 1XV and a number of girls represented at Ladies 1XV level
  • Guy James stands down as Academy Team Manager after 12 years - big thank you
  • Increase in squad numbers across minis and juniors
  • Team at every age group (comparatively some clubs struggling)
  • Minis Festival after 2 year gap
  • U16’s win Plate, U15 finalists, U14’s semi-finalists, hosted Bucks Cup Finals successfully
  • High levels of junior boys and girls county/DPP representation

Rugby Report

  • Key Areas of Review 
  • GMS is shocking and many still unable to get on it
  • Dealing with unseasonal/exceptional weather (hot/hard pitches pre/start of season, wet weather October/November and frozen pitches in December
  • Standard of refereeing across the season not good enough though at all levels
  • Course availability – coaching and refereeing
  • New laws and regulations – tackle height
  • Larger coaching team across senior mens and ladies - essentially a team of 3/4 plus physios
  • Social media was terrible but is getting better and the end of the season (2XV)
  • Managing fixtures/training around pitch availability as numbers grow/changing facilities
  • Player pathway particularly from U15 onwards and coaches personal development at all levels
  • trial for Senior Mens 1XV finishing bottom of league
  • number of red cards

  • Need more youngsters (retention and recruitment)
  • Enhance input and contribution from parents
  • Greater social media presence in line with other clubs
  • Develop greater specific skill sets with baseline by U15
  • Uniform approach and consistency to training as players progress through age groups
  • Enhance brand of rugby played at the club (more expansive and free flowing)
  • Develop a professional environment within a grass roots club
  • Invest in U15/U16/Academy teams - these age groups in particular will will create a mid term sustainable output for the seniors in 3- 5 years

  • 2XV look at finishing top league (2XV)
  • 1XV minimum consolidate position in new league but but aim to be promoted
  • Ladies 1XV consolidate position in new league
  • Continue to grow teams depth and numbers
  • Create more social activity to encourage squad morale /team spirit
  • Increase access to pitches and contingent plans for expansion/access for weather challenges
  • Invest in pathways for teams and coaches
  • Start coaching early on new law changes
  • Build on foundations being created for social media
  • Create coaching standards of conduct and bring coaching community together
