VOLUNTEERING EVENTS - CLINICAL

Primary Care Clinic - 3 credits per shift

• Details -
• 4 hour shifts (9AM-1PM)
• Jobs are mainly administrative tasks but volunteers will have the opportunity to observe the business side of running a clinic.
• Specific activities include filing patient charts, welcoming and signing in patients, making phone calls, and sending faxes.
• Flexible schedule!
• 3 Locations -

VOLUNTEERING EVENTS - CLINICAL

Heart to Heart Hospice of Texas LTD - 2 credits per shift

• Some details:
• Orientation on Saturday once a month.
• 1-2 hour shifts
• Volunteers have the opportunity to work directly with patients under hospice care or serve in the local hospice facility by providing supportive services
• Very Flexible schedule!
• Orientation Location for NDM: 1406 Halsey Way STE 110, Carrollton, TX 75007
• 2 credits earned per shift
• + 4 credits earned in orientation

UTD HOSA MEMBERSHIP AND DUES

• Regular Member
• Member of the UTD HOSA Chapter
• Get to Attend all events.
• $30 per year (Only Requirement)
• Shirt included in cost
• Membership Deadline: October 13th, Monday
• Competitor Member
• Member of UTD student organization and registered with National HOSA
• Get to attend all events and part of House system
• Eligible to compete in State and possibly International competition in the spring and summer
• $100 paid in spring semester (can pay $25 chapter dues now, decide in January and pay remaining $100 then) - Set by National HOSA
