Introducing the COE
New Building Design Committee
Design Committee: Basics
Level of Commitment
Serving on the design committee will be official service. We asked Seth Siaki (project manager) about the committee’s expected timeline & workload:
Anticipated Start Date | “We are still anticipating to hold our kickoff meeting in March. The first meeting will be to perform a review of the winning bidder’s proposal with all UH stakeholders.“ |
Frequency of Meetings | “This will vary. It may require 2-3 meetings one week and then it maybe a few months before we have another meeting. It will not be regular meetings.” |
Length of Service | “The majority of the design will be completed within the first year. Then they would need to review any issues that come up during the construction of the facility.” |
Summer Meeting Requirement | “Yes, but it does not need to be in person. It can be via Zoom or even a simple email response depending on the issue.“ |
