Level of Commitment

Serving on the design committee will be official service. We asked Seth Siaki (project manager) about the committee’s expected timeline & workload:

Anticipated Start Date

“We are still anticipating to hold our kickoff meeting in March. The first meeting will be to perform a review of the winning bidder’s proposal with all UH stakeholders.“

Frequency of Meetings

“This will vary. It may require 2-3 meetings one week and then it maybe a few months before we have another meeting. It will not be regular meetings.”

Length of Service

“The majority of the design will be completed within the first year. Then they would need to review any issues that come up during the construction of the facility.”

Summer Meeting Requirement

“Yes, but it does not need to be in person. It can be via Zoom or even a simple email response depending on the issue.“
