(2) Advance students’ knowledge, confidence, skills, and motivation to make decisions and take actions that preserve and protect the unique natural resources of Maryland and of the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed; and

FCPS Sustainability Initiatives and Goals

  • Expand support for Green Schools (including standardizing fiscal support for leaders)

  • The work you do for 2 school years counts towards application. If applying March 1, 2025, then include

Fall 2023 - Spring 2025�

  • Submit your intent to apply by December 15, 2024

(FCPS paid the $75/fee this year); Deadline 2025: usually March 1

  • Reapply every 4 years to stay certified
