REFUGEE CAMP
Debre Birhan
The tents captured shows young refugees striving to get an education. Many young kids that we talked to, stated that they stopped learning, because of their brutal circumstances. Many of the children have a promising and hopeful future, although they need the help of kind donors like you to help them achieve their dreams.
One young boy pictured said that he wants to become a doctor to be able to help patients.
Debre birhan interview
Many refugees and workers were touched by this donation. Expressing and describing what they have went through was emotional and heartbreaking. This was truly an eye-opening experience that I will never forget.
Translation of the interviewee:
"Keep doing good acts for our country. I feel so sorry for the kids you see here. My heart is always broken. I've worked here for three years, but there's nothing that's more heartbreaking than this. It is very hard. You thinking of this and doing this, as a female, child, and young woman, I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you. Though, it is just very hard.

Translation of the young girl:
"I'm very thankful for the books donation. When I'm not in class, I usually go to the library and there aren't enough books. Even with those conditions, I am ranked 3rd, but now with the adequate supply of textbooks, I can become the top of my class."
Translation of the principal, Mr.Demeke Worke:
“Someone born in Ethiopia, yet lives in America, donated around 156,000 Birr and helped the school’s shortage with the donation of 982 books. They have alleviated the school's textbook supply shortage by 75%.”
