eGlass Hardware

Lighting

  • Instructor Lights- Helps illuminate the instructor’s face.
  • Glass Lights- Displays written words on the screen.

Exposure

  • Increasing Exposure- Increases lighting in the room.
  • Decreasing Exposure- Decreases lighting in the room. For busy backgrounds, turn down the exposure to darken the background.

Markers

  • Neon- Work better in darker rooms but can also work in lighter rooms.
  • Basic- Only work in light rooms with Exposure increased.

Record

  • Camera Record- Records eGlass screen and any annotations

Stop

  • Allows users to stop the video.

Pause

  • Allows users to pause the video and then resume.

Snap

  • Allows you to take a quick snapshot through the eGlass camera.

  • Visibility: Neon markers are known for their vibrant and highly visible colors. When used on eGlass, they can create eye-catching and attention-grabbing displays.

  • Creativity and Customization: Neon markers allow for creative and customizable designs. Users can draw or write messages, create artwork, or annotate content directly on the eGlass.

  • Engagement: The bright and colorful nature of neon markers can increase user engagement. Whether it's for educational purposes, business presentations, or interactive exhibits, neon markers can make the content more engaging and memorable.

  • Versatility: Neon markers are versatile and can be used for various applications on eGlass. They are suitable for temporary drawings or messages and can be easily wiped clean when needed.

When you have completed your writing, just use a cloth to wipe the eGlass clean.

Allows you to pull in content and then return to your original screen

      • Allows you to search and add in media from the internet.

    • Inserting Media
      • Drag and drop the image or save it to your desktop
      • Edit images by removing background color. It is easier to remove backgrounds of PNG files. Use the Color Picker to select the color you want removed and then alter the Sensitivity so the color is no longer there.
      • Alter sensitivity to help clear out incomplete background removal.
      • Invert colors and change opacity levels

  • Media Play
    • Allows you to add in your own media files.

Record

  • Camera Record- Records eGlass screen and any annotations

  • Screen Rec PIP- Records both your screen and the eGlass screen.
  • Time Lapse- Allows you to speed up videos.

Zoom

  • Zoom in and out with the Zoom button or use your laptop mouse pad.

Snapshot

  • Allows you to take a quick snapshot through the eGlass camera.

Annotate

  • Allows users to annotate the screen with writing, text, or outlines.
  • You also have the option to erase any annotations and undo/redo them.

View Options

  • Reveal- Displays a green screen that hides information from viewers. You can then drag the green screen away to reveal what is hidden.
  • Mirror- Allows you to mirror the screen.
  • Rotate L/R- Allows users to rotate the screen left or right.
  • P-N-P- Requires additional camera or monitor for additional screen access

Pause

  • Allows users to pause the video and then resume.

Q&A

  • Do I have to write backwards? No, the built-in camera flips the image so text reads left-to-right.
  • Is eGlass a display? No, eGlass is a light board with a built-in camera. You connect eGlass to your computer, and your computer outputs the image onto your classroom display.
  • How strong is eGlass? Ridiculously rugged.
  • What kind of markers do I use? Use regular dry erase markers or neon glass board markers.
  • Does it work with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, etc? Yep. Simply select eGlass as your camera input on any virtual conferencing platform.

Allows you to record as you teach. Note- the blur is not part of eGlass and does not generate.

Timelapse

Allows the user to change the speed of the recording. Making the video faster cuts down on recorded time. Making the video slower increases recorded time.

Screen Rec PiP

Displays the screen and records as you search. A small clip of your camera will also appear. Note- the blur is not part of eGlass and does not generate.

Pause

Video can be paused while recording. This briefly stops the video until you unpause by pressing the Pause button or Record button.

  • Allows you to rotate the screen left.
  • Allows you to rotate the screen right.

Mirrors the image. This is useful if you are showing the title of something, and you want the audience to see it.

Reveal places a green screen over the screen to hide something.

Drag the green screen to reveal the hidden screen.

Full screen removes the toolbar and focuses on the main screen.

  • The Select Feature allows you to select any content that you used.
