SFUSD Application Process

If there are more students applying than there are openings at a school, choice assignments will be made according to this order of tie breakers:

4. ALL OTHER STUDENTS

Students who do not have a tie-breaker will be assigned to the school closest to home that still has openings.

REQUIRED: SFUSD Enrollment Application

DEADLINE: February 5th

MISSION CRITERIA: Same as other Traditional High Schools covered in the presentation

DEADLINE: Friday, January 15th. (Portfolio, SOTA app, and general app) Applications will be available 11/16/20

SOTA will schedule an audition. Each department will hold their own auditions

Turn in your application on time and list your sibling’s school as your FIRST choice.

What if I'm unhappy with my HS assignment?

1. Attend an informational counseling session.

2. Request an assignment to a school that has openings.

3. Request to be placed in the waiting pool for one school.

4. Turn in a medical appeal.

    • SOTA - 1/15
    • All other enrollment apps - February 5th
    • SFUSD will mail placements by 3/22
    • Register at school by April 9th
