* Students completing this four-year program will receive recognition at Academic Awards Ceremony and at the graduation ceremony. Students will receive the Distinguished Grad Medallion, the Distinguished Grad Notation on their transcript, and the Distinguished Grad Seal on their diploma.

Have exemplary attendance for all four years. Prospective distinguished grads are required to check their records to be sure that absences and tardies are not excessive. A STUDENT WHO HAS ANY TRUANCIES AND/OR UNRESOLVED ABSENCES WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE DISTINGUISHED GRAD PROGRAM UNLESS THEY ARE RESOLVED

Participate for at least one semester in at least one extra-curricular activity in the school which has an end product. Examples of activities may include sports, theater production, pep squad, band, ASB, art/photo exhibit, or yearbook.

(Involvement in a campus club ONLY fulfills this requirement if you have a minimum of 40 hours of participation in the club. These 40 hours would be in ADDITION to, NOT part of, your 60 “Service” hours)

Maintain exemplary citizenship each semester in each class, INCLUDING no 5’s, no more than one 4 in citizenship, and no suspensions or expulsions

Complete all classes required for entrance into CSU/UC campuses by, meeting “A-G” requirements with a grade of “C” or better. A grade of credit is also accepted

Maintain a cumulative State Weighted GPA of 3.0+

Perform at least 60 hours of school or extra-curricular community service which is defined as voluntary service performed for a non-profit community or school organization and without any form of payment to the volunteer. Submit BLUE verification forms (found in the guidance office or on our counseling website) as hours are completed. Turn completed forms in at the guidance office front desk on the 2nd floor by March 2023.
