Arendal is known for its strong local grass root initiatives, co-creation, transparent city panning and collaborative efforts for value creation.
With a Heart for Arendal is a network of more than 150 organisations and institutions from voluntary-, business-, culture-, public sector and research.
We are working based on a Penta Helix-model for co-creation.
Co-creation is the act of creating together.
Co-creation as a professional discipline is a set of capabilities, models, skills, methods and activities that enable the act of co-creation.

A new battery factory to the north of Krøgenes, in the former forest area by the highway, is under construction. It will generate more than 2000 new jobs.
A newly built highway in the north makes Krøgenes the natural crossing point for tourists visiting Raet National Park, “All of Norway’s summer resort” along the coast in the south.
