Final Network Learning Post: Contributing to the Learning of Others

Discord
As I mentioned, I have had the chance to use it before within High School. The use I found for it was to communicate with friends and peers while playing different games or utilizing the voice chat feature for talking with others. However, EDTC 300 showed me how helpful Discord can be and how to use it effectively. Checking in throughout the semester I was able to see different articles, questions, and key points shared for the class. When classmates brought forward useful tools and resources I made sure to keep them in mind for the future, for example when starting to blog on edusites I was having issues with uploading different images in my Learning Project. I was able to check into a resource shared by classmates. I also felt welcome to share my thoughts, useful resources, and reach out to different peers for group work.

Reaching Out for Group Work
I have not been overly connected to various social media platforms throughout my earlier youth and in High School. An example of that would be how before the start of EDTC300 I never had a Twitter setup or made an account. Because of this I found the concept of establishing myself on the platform overwhelming. That being said, I was able to reach out to different peers and start to establish different followers. This allowed me to share different resources on a daily basis, comment on other classmates' work and engage in larger events such as SaskEdChat. After a while I was able to get the hang of it going 0 to 83 tweets. I can provide a link to my Twitter account. Blogs
Having the chance to blog our different assignments allowed for a new level of connection for myself to interact with peers. Having the chance to use the blog hub and check throughout the week to see the different posts made by classmates allowed me to answer different questions I had as well to learn about all the different topics in my classmates' learning projects. Many of these were super unique and were topics I had no understanding of. Commenting allowed me to share how thrilled I was to see new entries on classmates' blogs and allow my voice to be heard in the conversation. Having this focus on communication while blogging is new to me and very enjoyable, I look forward to using different blogging platforms in future years of teaching. Here are the different comments from classmates' blogs.

Conclusion
My classmates and peers have introduced me to the different possibilities and tools that blogging brings with it. The most enjoyable experience of reading others blogs has to be seeing that different topics can be achieved and learned through using online platforms and resources.
