Home Row

Home row is referred to the location that your fingers should rest when using your keyboard.

If you look down at your keyboard, you will notice that the F and J keys have small bumps. This is where your pointer fingers go. Place the rest of your fingers on the keys next to your pointer fingers.

At this location of the keyboard, you should be able to easily reach most of the keys without lifting your hands.
