Create Up to 10 User Profiles on Your Panel

  1. Add a new user profile

    • Open the Unified Menu
    • Tap
    • Tap the gear icon
    • Tap Add user, and then Tap OK
    • Tap SET UP NOW to set up your profile

2. Change Profile Name

    • Tap New User from Unified Menu
    • Tap
    • Tap the appropriate user profile and rename the user. You can also tap the avatar to change the user’s picture.
    • Tap OK

3. Connect to Cloud

    • Open Unified Menu and tap your profile
    • Tap the cloud and then select either Google Drive or One Drive and begin the process of connecting your account

4. Setting a Pin

    • Open the Unified Menu and tap
    • Tap
    • Select Screen lock, then tap PIN or PASSWORD
    • Enter a PIN or Password
    • Tap Continue, and then tap OK to confirm your PIN.
    • Select your preference on Notifications and tap Done.

Install Apps

    • go to the panel’s Locker
    • select Google Play Store – you may need to swipe left to find the icon
    • *Google Play Store only: sign in using your school Gmail account – if you don’t have a Gmail account you will need to create one on your computer
    • search for apps by typing the app name in the search bar at the top of the screen
    • install apps, once installation is complete the apps will appear in your app Locker
    • send the name of an app you installed to the chat area – share your ideas!

Add Favorite Websites to Locker

    • Select the Unified Menu, then tap Locker, then select the Chromium app
    • Type in a website that you frequently visit
    • Tap the three vertical dots in the top right
    • Scroll down and tap “Add to Home screen
    • Go back to your locker and see if the icon is located in your locker
    • Send the name of the website you added to your home screen to the chat area – share your ideas!
    • If you finish early, practice rearranging your apps. Simply press and hold the app to move it to its desired location.

Open the Whiteboard app

    • begin writing with multiple points of touch – you can change color if you like
    • switch to selector tool – move or resize (pinch) your annotations
    • change the background (color and/or built-in backgrounds)
    • add a chart or graph then resize with pinch and zoom, move with touch
    • move to new space in infinite canvas
    • use the ruler or protractor to trace along edge

    • open the app Locker
    • open Chromium and search: bit.ly/whiteboardwolsker will be directed to a Google Drive folder with a variety of subjects
    • select your subject folder and tap on the PWB file you wish to download
    • Download the whiteboard file – select Open to test the whiteboard

    • Open the panel’s Locker.
    • Select the Chromium app
    • Navigate to the school district’s website or other website of your choosing.
    • Open the Annotate app
    • Tap the two rows of vertical dots to move Annotate toolbar to another location

    • Tap the pen color to change thickness. Tap colorful circles to change pen color. Pro-Tip: Long press on colorful circle will allow for additional colors and color picker.
    • Write on website. Tap eraser icon to erase or simply use palm to erase
    • Tap trash can to clear all annotations

    • To hide annotations, press eyeball (no slash). Scroll through page or open a new tab.
    • Use highlighter to highlight text
    • Press the camera icon to save annotations
    • Close the Annotate app

Screen Capture

    • Go to the panel’s Locker.
    • Select the Chromium app.
    • Search for a picture of the beach.
    • Go to the image results and tap on the beach of your choice.

    • Use the annotate tool to draw yourself on the beach.
    • Tap on the Screen Capture icon embedded in the Annotate app, or within the Unified Menu.
    • Crop to your preferred size, then tap “Done” and then “Open in Whiteboard.”

    • Resize (pinch) the image to make it smaller. Use two fingers to

zoom in and make it bigger.

    • download the Screen Share desktop application
    • open the Screen Share app on your ActivPanel to retrieve the panel ID
    • enter the panel ID and your name and select ENTER WAITING ROOM
    • select the people icon to enter your waiting room
    • select the devices you want to share and tap share

    • download and open the Promethean App
    • open the Screen Share app on your ActivPanel to retrieve the panel ID
    • enter the panel ID and your name on your phone or tablet and start screen share
    • select the people icon to enter your waiting room
    • select the devices you want to share and tap share

Chromebook

    • download the Screen Share Chrome extension
    • open the extension in Chrome
    • open the Screen Share app on your ActivPanel to retrieve the panel ID
    • enter the panel ID and your name and select ENTER WAITING ROOM
    • select the people icon to enter your waiting room
    • select the devices you want to share and tap share

    • Open the Locker
    • Select the Timer app

    • Make sure the Timer option is selected. This app can also be a Stopwatch & Clock.

    • Open the Locker
    • Select the Spinner app. Select the preloaded SHAPES spinner
    • Go to the Whiteboard app
    • Change the background of your Whiteboard to lined paper

    • On the Timer app, change the preset time to 1:00 by either tapping the arrow or the stopwatch icon

    • Spin the Spinner app to select a shape. Tap the blue button in middle to spin or swipe

    • Start your 1-minute timer and write as many words as you possibly can that relate to the shape that was landed on

    • Count how many words you wrote and write your total on the whiteboard

    • Open the Locker
    • Select the Spinner app
    • Press the + symbol and select CREATE LIST

    • Title spinner – you can make a custom spinner or your choice or input names of family members or students

    • Enter at least 5 items into spinner. NOTE-You can select the colorful circles and change the color of each item if you wish.

    • Customize your spinner by adding a Celebration or Sound. Change the Spin duration, toggle off/on the Display selection or Repeat selection.

    • Select Done
    • Move spinner to desired place on screen
    • Spin your custom spinner by tapping blue middle button or by swiping
    • Tap on the plus sign to add up to 3 more spinners to your screen
    • Close spinner using the x button

    • Open the Locker.
    • Select the Timer app
    • Press the + icon to open additional Timers. Open up to 8.
    • Tap the magnify icon to change size of app
    • When using the Timer, tap the stopwatch icon to change presets times

    • Tap the settings icon to change Settings and Styles: Add Sounds & Celebrations, Toggle on/off options & Edit presets

    • Close the app by pressing the x

Multi-window feature

    • go to the app Locker
    • select an app to open (whiteboard, YouTube, Chromium, etc.) and dock it to the left.
    • open another app and dock it to the right.
    • use your multi-window toolbar to minimize, move, and resize multiple apps.

Connect a device to your ActivPanel

  • plug the HDMI and USB Touch cable into the panel if necessary. *Some computers have a USB-C option-this connection only requires one cord.
  • plug the cord(s) into your computer. *You may need an adapter if you do not have an HDMI or USB port on your computer.
  • open the Unified Menu and select the Source Icon.
  • navigate to another source *only live sources will appear as options.
  • Open the Unified Menu and navigate back to the Home source.

  • Open the Locker

  • Tap the Files app

  • Locate file

  • Tap file to open

  • When prompted to open with Adobe Acrobat, tap JUST ONCE or ALWAYS

  • Log in with your Google Credentials or press the x in the top right corner

  • Customize View Settings

  • Annotate using Adobe’s annotate features

  • PDF can also be captured into the Whiteboard app�using the Capture app

  • Capturing the PDF into the Whiteboard gives the ability to save as PWB or Export PDF

Change your wallpaper

    • Open the app Locker
    • Select the gear icon to go to the Settings tab. Choose More Settings.
    • Select Display
    • Choose Wallpapers. Tap My Photos in the bottom left corner to locate the image you wish to use for your new wallpaper. This could be an image saved to your panel, your Google/One Drive, or from a connected USB drive.
    • Once you have chosen a new image, tap Set Wallpaper in the upper left corner

Tip: How to save an image to your panel: 1. Open the Unified Menu, tap Locker 2. Locate the Chromium App and tap to open 3. Search for an image and tap on image 4. Press and hold the image. User will be given a few options. 5. Select ‘Download Image’. Once image is downloaded, a checkmark will appear.

Turn off Keyboard Sound

    • Open your Locker
    • Tap the Settings App
    • Scroll down to “System”
    • Tap “Languages and Input”
    • Tap “Virtual Keyboard”
    • Select “Android Keyboard”
    • Select “Preferences”
    • Toggle off “Sound on Keypress”

*Please note that you will still hear tapping when you open applications, but you will no longer hear the tapping when typing on keyboard.
