Still my favourite site for kids to go and read about what fascinates them. A mix of images, video and text in a short snappy format will reel them in and get them reading and wondering.

Support your child to become a published author
Support your child to have their writing and/or art published! Toitoi is a quarterly published New Zealand journal, featuring the writing and art of young New Zealanders.The website has all the details you need to submit your child’s work.
Storybird for Writers
This is a fun one for writing. You child can select some artwork, decide on the number of pages and then write a story to go with the images they’ve chosen.�They can then submit their story for others to read.

Read a story together then use Scratch to code a scene from the story, or to show what a character might do next.
