What is a CTE Pathway?

A career and technical education (CTE) pathway is a sequence of two or more CTE courses within a student's area of career interest. Pathways are designed to connect high school classes to college, industry certifications, and/or a career.

Courses for year 1 (2021.22)

Intro to Arts, Media & Entertainment

  • Introductory CTE course
  • Students who wish to complete the CTE pathway should begin with this course
  • May also be taken independently of the Arts Academy as College/Career Exploration

Photography & Photoshop I

  • Supplemental introductory CTE course
  • Students may also use this course for one year of VAPA credit

  • VAPA or supplemental CTE course

Will vary but some examples include animation lessons at Disneyland, sound and lighting tours at Universal Studios and entertainment tours at Warner Bros .

College and admission reps will speak to our students about admission, portfolios and supplemental portfolios

Award winner photographer, and your teacher, Tara Edwards, will organize in person photo shoots
