Donating $1 million to the Bush Clinton Katrina Fund.
Providing industrial and environmental services to area businesses and manufacturers to ensure operational resiliency, even as Hurricane Rita struck more operations in Louisiana and Texas.
Helping our customers deal with floodwaters contaminated with raw sewage, chemicals and fuel. More than 400 environmental experts from Veolia provided clean-up services to customers throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.
Sending expert divers to shut down natural gas mains and pumping stations in flooded sections of New Orleans, collecting and destroying hazardous waste and supporting restarts of critical area manufacturing sites.
Holding a Texas barbecue for almost 1,500 evacuees.

BUFFALO, NEW YORK

Fighting what has been called a “once-in-a-generation” weather event in Buffalo, Veolia

personnel shored up the Buffalo Water plant on the edge of Lake Erie and spent 48+ hours

defending the system from record storm surge off the Great Lakes — until they found

themselves snowed in on Christmas Day.

“As most of us were getting ready for the holiday, I had a team of individuals that chose to

entrench themselves at the Buffalo Water plant during the wicked Buffalo storm,” said

Buffalo Project Manager David Hill. “They are doing everything humanly possible to sustain

the water supply for the City of Buffalo.” Buffalo Assistant Project Manager Doug Fultz and

Technical Manager Michael Carson oversaw the mitigation of flooding and literally battened

down the hatches as the storm pounded the plant, starting December 23, 2022. They were

eventually able to reunite with their families on Christmas Day.

“I also want to extend my gratitude to the City of Buffalo employees who have stepped up

and stepped in to provide non stop potable water to this community,” added Hill, as he spoke

of the remarkable dedication of the Buffalo crew.
